01

TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS

It is time to have your transmission looked at if your vehicle is:

  • Transmission Fluid Is Leaking

  • If Your Vehicle Is Shaking Or Buckling At Highway Speeds

  • Delayed Drive Or Reverse

  • Check Engine Light Is On

  • Burning Smell

  • Transmission Is Slipping

  • Trouble Shifting

  • Vehicle Will Not Move

  • Manual Transmission Grinds When Shifting

  • Clutch Is Slipping

02

AIR CONDITIONING PROBLEMS

If your AC system is not working properly, there are many reasons for the failure. The most common cause of an automobile AC failure is low or zero refrigerant.

Other causes include functional problems in a component, electrical problems, control issues, or a combination of these.

Filling up an empty system with refrigerant usually makes the air conditioner start working again, but it does not fix the leak or any other problems. We always explain to you procedures needed before the repairs are made, not after, so you understand the reasoning.

03

ENGINE PROBLEMS

  • Replace the spark plugs in your engine regularly. This way, the air and fuel mixture will burn cleaner and more efficiently.

  • Improve the intake/output system. By allowing gas to get in and exhaust to get out of your vehicle you will improve the vehicle's overall performance and gas mileage.

  • Reduce friction. Use high-quality or synthetic motor oil.

  • Check your oil! Low oil makes your engine work harder.

  • Change your filters. Dirty filters can sometimes increase the amount of fuel your vehicle uses by as much as 10 percent.

  • Keep tires properly inflated and aligned. Check regularly to ensure your tires are fully inflated and your alignment is good.

  • Get regular engine tune-ups and car maintenance checks. A lot can go wrong with a car. Damaged spark plugs or transmission problems can also contribute to poor gas mileage.

04

CLUTCH PROBLEMS

No clutch will last forever. The facings on the clutch disc wear as the miles accumulate. The clutch pressure plate and flywheel can become scored, worn, warped or cracked from all the heat and friction generated by the clutch. A perfectly good clutch also can be ruined by oil contamination. Or, the cable or hydraulic linkage can fail, or the release bearing, pilot bearing/bushing or fork can wear out and prevent the clutch from working properly.

There are a variety of things that can go wrong with a clutch, so keep reading and we will examine the various complaints, one by one

BRAKE PROBLEMS

How can I tell when my brakes need servicing?

The brake pedal can be depressed nearly to the floor. You hear a squealing or other unusual noise when you apply the brakes.

Some brands of brake pads have a built-in device that produces a high-pitched squeal when the brake pads are wearing thin.

The car pulls to one side when you apply the brakes.

You may feel a grinding or bumpy sensation as you come to a stop. In general, if there is something about your brakes that is making you uncomfortable, you should have them inspected.
